“I had the pleasure of working with Nick on several projects, collaborating with him in my roles on both the content and software teams. What always impressed me about Nick was his ability to bridge the gap between design and development. He has a knack for taking complex technical concepts and translating them into user-centered designs that are both functional and elegant.
Nick is a true advocate for the user, always prioritizing their needs while balancing business goals. He's also incredibly collaborative and values input from all team members, fostering a truly productive and enjoyable work environment. I especially appreciated his willingness to explain design decisions and processes, which was invaluable to me as a developer.
Beyond his skills and talent, Nick is simply a great person to work with. He's approachable, has a good sense of humor, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. I would jump at the chance to work with Nick again and can't recommend him and his work enough.”
“Nick was one of the first people that I worked with when I began my career in UX. He is an amazing teammate and project leader. He is extremely knowledgeable about product design best practices and always has creative solutions for complex use cases. When working at Ria Financial together, Nick led the drive for the ideal product experience, even establishing a new design system.”
“Nick was one of my favorite design partners during my time at Ria Money Transfer. His collaborative approach with the Content team was exemplary—he brought us into the design process early and often, valuing the partnership between content and design in creating seamless user experiences.
What truly sets Nick apart is his ability to champion user needs while still delivering on business objectives. Whether it was simplifying complex money transfer flows or redesigning key features, his design solutions were always backed by solid user research.
The cherry on top? His sense of humor is dryer than the Atacama Desert. 10/10 recommend Nick for his design expertise, willingness to collaborate, and strategic thinking.”

“Having worked with Nick in a few different capacities, I've found him to be a skilled communicator, steadfast teacher, and visionary designer.
His willingness to listen, solicit the client's desires (and concerns), and provide detailed guidance make him the strong, trusted, and reliable colleague any team would want. Nick's intuition for discovering potential problems before they surface inspire great confidence.
I wouldn't hesitate to join him for any endeavor.”
“During our time at FoodChain ID, I had the privilege of managing Nick Saladin and witnessing firsthand his exceptional contributions as a UX Designer. Nick consistently impressed me with his ability to transform complex requirements into intuitive and user-friendly designs. His commitment to understanding user needs and translating them into effective design solutions was integral to the success of our projects.
Nick was proactive in seeking feedback and continuously improving his work, which showcased his dedication to delivering the best possible product. His collaborative nature made him a joy to work with, as he easily navigated cross-functional teams, aligning input from product, engineering, and marketing to ensure that the final design met all expectations.
Nick's work ethic, eye for detail, and passion for user experience were evident in every project. He demonstrated great initiative, kept himself updated on the latest UX trends, and applied best practices to enhance our team’s output. It was a pleasure managing Nick, and I am confident he will be a valuable asset to any organization looking for a talented and reliable UX Designer.”
“Nick is the exact designer every leader needs on their team. He’s dedicated, methodical, and always laser focused on deeply understanding the true user context. He’s passionate about primary research, comes with zero creative ego, and iterates until a solution is validated. Whether you’re looking for a researcher, interaction designer, or well-rounded product designer, Nick is the right partner to co-design with users and stakeholders. He’s versatile when it comes to back-office or customer-facing, high stakes software, and he isn’t afraid to question assumptions or stand up for the right solution. My favorite thing about Nick is that he's a constant learner, and he's not afraid to dive deep on a topic he doesn't have experience with, or learn a complicated tool that might help him shape a solution. Hire Nick if you ever get the chance, you won’t regret it. And I’ve had him on my team twice (as of today), so I would know.”
“I had the opportunity to lead Nick as a Senior UX Designer of my UX Team at Ria. He is that rare combination of the coveted tech / design thinking mindset; comfortable on both sides of the divide and willing to help drive the compromise needed to reach consensus. He adapts quickly, always offers insightful feedback and always advocates for the end user in all his work. His dedication to good UX and advocacy of the end user were a benefit to the dynamic on the UX Team.”
“Nick interviewed with my former manager and I in the late Summer of 2013; a young, eager, enthusiastic rookie with an incredibly confident attitude. I admit I was skeptical at first, thinking the team would be better served to hire someone with more experience. After the interview, my manager asked my thoughts, and I replied "He'd be adequate." My expectations were fairly low. I was wrong. Nick turned out to be far, far beyond adequate.
Nick's adept, earnest and astute ability to quickly adapt, convinced me that he was one of those rare talents deserving the Heisman Trophy of UX, if there were such a thing.
I don't know if Nick knew of my early doubts. If he did, he worked hard to establish a relationship of trust and commitment. There are very few seasoned veterans that I would trust more.
During the past year, I have had the opportunity to know Nick quite well, and can thoroughly vouch for his character as well as his abilities. He always takes the initiative to make sure his work is done exceptionally well. No one on the team ever needs to do a peer review because we all know it will be done right.
Nick has also proven that he can conduct himself well under pressure and handles himself with dignity, professionalism and diplomacy, even when faced with extremely difficult people and circumstances. He has established great rapport with various business stakeholders and development teams. Most importantly, his relentless perseverance and commitment to user advocacy is always, and appropriately, his primary motive.
Nick is also willing to work on areas he feels he could improve upon. He has mentioned that group presentations are daunting, but I have witnessed him in action in recent weeks. His straightforward, honest, to-the-point style serves him and the department well, and if he experiences any discomfort during a presentation, it's not apparent to me.
It's been my privilege to work with Nick for the past 10 months, and I would not hesitate to give him my highest endorsement and recommendation. I believe that I have learned as much from him as I hope he has learned from me.”
“Nick hit the ground running on a very demanding project with many moving parts and stakeholders. He quickly learned our design process and team functions, asking all the right questions, following up on all the right things, and coming to right design conclusions in quick fashion. He's very thoughtful and detailed, exhibiting a high amount of conscientiousness in all he does. Only having managed him a short time, I see a great future ahead for Nick and highly recommend him.”
